The band was formed in 2003, and disbanded in 2010, after seven years and three studio albums. So yup I teach on weekdays and perform on weekends! I’m VERY glad to be in this position. The Black Mages were a Japanese hard rock band formed by Nobuo Uematsu, composer for various video games in the Final Fantasy series, that played Uematsus musical compositions in a progressive rock or prog-metal style. Carmel in Quezon City and now to be playing, singing and directing the music for all weekend masses and getting paid to do it makes me appreciate all the opportunities I had back then. 😀 I have served as a weekend church musician all my life back in Mt. FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE Orchestra World Tour Comes to Blaisdell Concert Hall in November by Stephi Wild - Aug 15, 2021. Los Angeles is the last currently-planned stop in the Piano Opera’s world tour, though the event’s official trailer reassuringly states that more cities will be announced soon. If you’re interested in attending the event, you can purchase tickets here. Regrettably, these tickets sold out nearly instantly after the event was announced. The event sold VIP tickets that would grant holders the opportunity to meet and take a photo with both Nakayama and Uematsu on stage.
To accompany the music, projectors will also display a never-before-seen reel of edited footage from the games on a wide screen format. It’s being overseen by Nobuo Uematsu himself, who explains in the above video that the concert offers a completely different experience from previous orchestral series, like 2013’s Final Symphony. Produced by Square Enix, the Piano Opera features music from across the entire series, with a focus on Final Fantasies VI, VII, VIII, and IX.
